Dick Holper, a 1965 graduate of Marquette University and a 1971 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Louisville Law School, clerked from Chief United States District Court Judge Edward j. Devitt. In private practice since 1972, and admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts in Arizona, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin, he practices in the areas of commercial, business and commercial real estate law and related restructuring and reorganization, litigation and alternative dispute resolution litigation.

Elected a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy in the 1990 inaugural class, he served as director of the American Bankruptcy Institute (1984-1988). He served as Editor of the Bankruptcy Law Letter, a national publication, from 1980 to 1992 and served as chairman of the Minnesota State Bar Association Bankruptcy Section for three years.

Mr. Holper also has been active in connection with the operation and management of Municipalities, Planned Unit Developments and Residential Home Owners Associations and has served as a member of a Planning and Zoning Commission, Municipal Ethics Commissions, Fire District Board of Directors, Transition Committee tasked with the responsibility of coordinating the transition of a Planned Unit Development from the Developer to the Homeowners as well as various finance and public works committees.

He also has served as a member of the board of various organizations, including the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute. Recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (Bankruptcy, Minnesota) (1990-'95), (Bankruptcy, Arizona) (1999) and in the September 1999 issue of Phoenix Magazine as among the Valley's best attorneys, he is an active member of the ABA Business Bankruptcy Committee and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

He was Regional Managing Partner of the Chicago offices of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi in 1990-1991, and since July of 1993 has been president of Holper & Associates, Ltd. (now The Holper Law Group, P.L.L.C.)
